Contract: Full-time/Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP The Mount, a category C prison. Our team is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional facilities management services.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who are dedicated to making a positive difference. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, including plumbing and heating, to ensure the smooth operation of the prison.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in plumbing and heating, with experience working on commercial or industrial systems. You should be familiar with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements and have a good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including plumbing and heating
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Work safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and disruption
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
