About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home in Plymouth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Foster a culture of consultation and collaboration with young people, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure their voices are heard and valued.
  • Allocate key workers to each young person, ensuring their care plans are implemented effectively.
  • Maintain high standards of care and safety, ensuring our home meets the highest regulatory requirements.
  • Handle complaints and concerns in a fair and transparent manner, working closely with our safeguarding team.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to promote the welfare and well-being of our young people.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in residential care, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to start within 6 months.
  • Knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Full UK driving license.
