We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Catering team at University Hospital Wishaw as a Chef. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to patients, staff, visitors, and functions.

• Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers.
• Work collaboratively with the catering team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in food preparation and presentation.
• Contribute to the development of menus and specials, ensuring they meet the needs and preferences of our customers.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control to maintain efficient kitchen operations.

• City and Guilds or equivalent qualifications in catering or a related field.
• Intermediate Food Hygiene certification.
• Manual Handling and COSHH training.
• Basic IT skills and previous experience in a busy kitchen environment.
• Health and safety and food hygiene training on the job.
