We are a dynamic and innovative company within the Zalando Group, seeking a highly skilled AWS - Senior Cloud Software Development Engineer to join our agile software engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our software development processes and the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, efficient, and maintainable cloud-based software applications using PHP-based web frameworks such as Symfony.
  • Refactor existing applications and separate existing software components into micro-services to improve overall system performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end and back-end components and deliver cohesive end-to-end web applications that meet user expectations and project goals.
  • Develop deep understanding of front-end and back-end development concepts and best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with expertise in PHP programming, including the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Demonstrated expertise in PHP programming, including experience with Python and Symfony.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and serverless design patterns, with strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in setting up and configuring AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
  • Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development concepts and best practices.
