Professional Heavy Goods Vehicle Operator

4 on 4 off, Day Shifts, 06:00-18:00

Our expanding operations are in search of a Professional Heavy Goods Vehicle Operator to play a vital role in our logistics team. You will be tasked with the secure and efficient transportation of goods to and from our facilities, ensuring that business needs are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Transport Manager to ensure timely delivery of designated loads to specified locations Adhere to the timelines established by the Transport Manager, reporting any potential delays promptly Comply with current road traffic regulations, maintaining safe driving practices at all times Hold a valid LGV Driving License for the appropriate vehicle class Verify pallet counts and box quantities prior to signing delivery documents, ensuring accuracy Follow customer delivery guidelines to uphold the reputation of Cranswick Country Foods Organize and maintain necessary documentation related to deliveries Keep the vehicle cab clean and compliant with safety and hygiene standards Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment consistently Conduct regular vehicle checks and report any issues to the Transport Manager immediately Maintain a professional demeanor and work ethic at all times Ensure high levels of performance in attendance and punctuality Work collaboratively with other departments to facilitate efficient product flow Contribute to key performance indicators related to quality, health, safety, and customer service Manage activities that ensure food safety, integrity, legality, and quality Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards to guarantee product safety, particularly regarding temperature control

Qualifications:

Valid HGV Driving License (Class 1) Previous experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing is advantageous Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies Capability to meet job performance standards
