Quality Assurance Manager

We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager at Cranswick Country Foods PLC. This position is pivotal in guaranteeing the safety, legality, and excellence of all products produced on-site by establishing a thorough Food Safety Quality Management System and performing regular evaluations. The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee food safety initiatives such as HACCP, TACCP, Allergen & Listeria management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead customer compliance audits and third-party standards assessments
  • Conduct assessments to identify gaps between customer compliance requirements, site protocols, and manufacturing practices
  • Remain informed about updates to customer codes of conduct and external regulations
  • Manage the Food Safety Quality Management System stage of audits, including preparation and resolution of non-conformance reports
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to rectify compliance deficiencies
  • Oversee the internal audit schedule
  • Guide the team and promote ongoing enhancements
  • Coordinate allergen and species validation timelines
  • Engage in HACCP team initiatives
  • Lead project assignments and support customer engagements

Candidate Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a comparable food production role
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to lead a team and work collaboratively
  • Familiarity with VISO or similar systems is advantageous
  • Relevant certifications in food safety, health & safety, auditing, and HACCP
