About the Role

UCL is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research and Enterprise Administrator to join our team at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of externally and internally funded research, enterprise, and consultancy projects.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills and experience in providing support to senior staff. You will have a strong understanding of university research funding administration and a proven track record of working in a higher education or research environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the research and enterprise proposal process, including contract administration and financial monitoring
  • Liaise with UCL Research & Innovation Services and other support teams to enable the submission and approval of research grant and philanthropic giving applications
  • Monitor progress of contracts and liaise with UCL Research & Innovation Services Pre-Award staff and UCL Consultants to complete paperwork and generate cost codes for awarded projects
  • Support Research managers with budgeting and monitoring finances for awarded projects
  • Report on project progress and other duties as laid out in the job description

Requirements

  • Education to A level or equivalent experience with GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above
  • Experience of providing administrative support to senior staff and understanding of university research funding administration
  • Ability to work in a team and with colleagues and external partners
