About the Role

Fife Council is seeking a highly skilled and passionate teacher to join our team as a Chemistry Teacher at St Andrew's RC High School in Kirkcaldy. As a key member of our school community, you will be responsible for leading learning within a classroom context, promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality, and communicating with other stakeholders to contribute to wider improvements across the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and achievement
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to keep them informed of student progress and achievements

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Chemistry education
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes and achievement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality in the classroom and wider school community
