Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture trusted partnerships with both existing and prospective clients in the charitable sector.
  • Deliver customized investment guidance and oversee portfolio management, ensuring alignment with the firm’s investment principles and methodologies.

Essential Duties

  • Implement the annual business strategy in accordance with defined personal objectives.
  • Foster new client relationships while enhancing service to existing clients to reduce attrition and generate referrals.
  • Conduct client meetings with professionalism, ensuring that all information is current, accurate, and tailored to client needs.
  • Design and maintain investment portfolios that reflect clients' requirements, financial situations, and risk tolerance.
  • Regularly assess portfolios and make necessary adjustments in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Execute transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with Financial Planning and Professional Services teams to strengthen client relationships.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate client records in accordance with Group policies.
  • Aim for zero complaints, addressing any issues promptly with the Client Resolution team to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through regular CPD activities to enhance knowledge and skills in line with industry standards.
  • Contribute to team efforts focusing on direct equity or collective sector analysis to support the broader investment process.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the charity sector to provide informed recommendations.
  • Actively engage in team meetings, taking responsibility for assigned tasks and collaborating with sector specialists.
  • Prepare materials as needed to support analysis and communication with Investment Managers.
  • Lead the team to ensure adherence to established standards.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Chartered level 7 qualification with an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing.
  • Proven experience in managing client investment portfolios and offering investment advice at a senior level.
  • Prior experience in the charity sector is advantageous.
  • Experience in restructuring newly acquired portfolios to align with investment policies.
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to communicate diverse investment management strategies effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in leading pitches and securing new business opportunities.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and an understanding of the associated risks in private client business.
  • Outstanding relationship management skills.
