Research Impact and Knowledge Exchange Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Impact and Knowledge Exchange Officer to join our team at SOAS University of London. As a key member of our directorate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and delivery of world-leading research impact from SOAS.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality professional support and guidance in the mapping, planning, and delivery of research impact and knowledge exchange activity. This will involve working closely with colleagues within the directorate and across SOAS to build upon and improve our current offer, create new opportunities, and develop innovation in generating impact and knowledge exchange based on SOAS research, knowledge, and expertise.
You will proactively engage with SOAS academics and external stakeholders to enable this, delivering training, evaluation, and bespoke communications and other activities. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the development and delivery of world-leading research impact from SOAS, supporting academics to identify and capitalise on opportunities for impact, evaluate interventions and resultant change, and draft case studies to be submitted to REF2029.
Please note that this is a temporary position until November 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality professional support and guidance in the mapping, planning, and delivery of research impact and knowledge exchange activity.
- Work closely with colleagues within the directorate and across SOAS to build upon and improve our current offer, create new opportunities, and develop innovation in generating impact and knowledge exchange.
