Your Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement engaging activities tailored to the diverse needs of our residents, including those in assisted living and those experiencing cognitive challenges.

Previous experience in a similar capacity is preferred, along with a background in supporting individuals with unique physical requirements and cognitive impairments. Familiarity with event organization and creative skills such as arts and crafts would be advantageous.

You will need to demonstrate flexibility in planning, assigning appropriately skilled team members to enhance each resident's abilities in line with our care philosophy. Additionally, you will stay informed about local activities, special occasions, and community volunteers who can enrich our residents' experiences.

You will oversee both individual and group activities, adhering to our person-centered care approach, focusing on various aspects of wellbeing including emotional, spiritual, physical, and social health. You will also coordinate significant events throughout the year, such as seasonal festivities and charitable gatherings. Furthermore, you will recruit, train, and guide new team members and volunteers to facilitate these activities, ensuring they are integrated into each resident's personalized care plan. Meaningful engagement is essential to enhancing our residents' quality of life, making it crucial to understand their preferences.

You are a confident leader, skilled in motivating older adults to engage in activities, ideally holding a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Activities in Social Care. Supervisory experience, a solid understanding of health and safety regulations, computer proficiency, and a valid driving license are significant assets.
