The Christie NHS FT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant to join our team in the Lung Cancer Department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of lung cancer patients
- Lead clinical teams, including junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the development of our services, including clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans
- Provide education and training to junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives
- MRCP or equivalent qualification
- GMC registration with a license to practice
- Experience of independently managing oncology patients
- Experience in teaching undergraduates
- Experience of clinical audit
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and lead a team
