Position Overview

The Senior Technical Consultant role (L6) at Cisilion Professional Services is designed for individuals who excel in consulting, designing, planning, and executing technical projects. This position requires close collaboration with Principal Technical Consultants, Presale Architects, and various teams as necessary. The Senior Technical Consultant will also provide essential technical support to Sales and Solutions teams, ensuring the delivery of expertise needed to secure sales opportunities and enhance customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert in relevant technologies, delivering impactful technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and developing proposals with a comprehensive understanding of multiple technologies.
  • Serve as a mentor and escalation point for technical queries, offering expert-level knowledge, peer review, and guidance on standards, design, and best practices.
  • Engage closely with Account Managers, Project Managers, Solution Architects, clients, and other teams as required.
  • Design and implement services across a diverse range of clients and technologies, producing technical documentation such as High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), diagrams, Bill of Materials (BoM), test plans, and Statements of Work (SoW).
  • Lead the design, implementation, migration, and testing of technical solutions, including the creation and presentation of customer-facing documentation.
  • Facilitate design workshops and collaborate with clients to identify commercially viable technical solutions.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with agreed timeframes, quality standards, scope, and budget, applying governance to manage risks, changes, and issues effectively.
  • Take a leading technical role in assigned projects, ensuring solutions adhere to recognized industry standards or Cisilion best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of test documentation and scenarios, ensuring personal objectives and KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Proactively assess existing systems, standards, documentation, and procedures, providing recommendations for enhancements.
  • Promote and uphold Cisilion's brand and that of Operations and Professional Services, both internally and externally.
  • Oversee one or more teams of consultants throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Certifications

Essential:

  • AZ-104 – Microsoft Azure Administrator
  • AZ-500 – Azure Security Technologies
  • AZ-400 – Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
  • AZ-305 – Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure

Desirable:

  • AZ-140 – Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
  • AZ-700 – Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions
  • SC-200 – Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
  • DP-300 – Administering Microsoft Azure SQL Solutions

Knowledge & Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in Azure infrastructure IaaS and PaaS services, with a focus on virtual machines, virtual networking, Azure SQL, Azure Policy, Cloud Adoption Framework, Well-Architected Framework, and Landing Zones, while identifying upselling opportunities across Cisilion's product offerings.
  • In-depth understanding of on-premise technologies, including Active Directory, SCCM, Exchange, Windows Server, and DNS, along with a solid grasp of Entra ID, capable of translating customer requirements into High and Low-Level Designs.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (BICEP), PowerShell, ARM templates, and deployment via Azure DevOps.
  • Extensive background in designing and validating solutions built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 across various sectors, leveraging lessons learned to drive continuous improvement and Azure transformation for key clients.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft best practices, including the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), Well-Architected Framework (WAF), and Azure Landing Zones.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft technologies (M365 E3/E5, Active Directory, Windows Server) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Citrix and migrations to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a plus, with relevant deliverables being desirable.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional-level technical relevance through project delivery, vendor certifications, technical training, and industry participation.
  • Exceptional skills in time management, planning, and communication.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness, safeguarding Cisilion's interests in professional services delivery.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with technical infrastructure hardware, software, and solutions.
  • Dedication to delivering quality, consistency, and excellence while continuously seeking improvement.
  • Prior experience in IT services organizations, IT channels, or value-added resellers is beneficial.
