About the Role

Vision for Education - Liverpool is seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child in Year 2 at a vibrant Primary School in Norris Green. As a key member of the school's support team, you will work closely with the child, the SENDCo, and outside agencies to enable the student to progress through the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to a child in Year 2, working full-time Monday to Friday
  • Support the child in removing barriers to learning and achieving their full potential, in-line with their EHCP
  • Work closely with the SENDCo and outside agencies to develop and implement strategies to support the child's progress
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the child, based on mutual respect and trust
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting the child's social, emotional, and academic well-being
Requirements
  • A positive and creative approach to behaviour and confidence building
  • Ability to create a positive working relationship with a young person on a 1:1 basis
  • Experience working with Primary aged children
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
