Job Summary
Beach Baker is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Town Planner to join our team. As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in managing projects and mentoring junior members of the Planning team.
About the Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for:
- Leading project management and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Mentoring and guiding junior members of the Planning team
- Developing and promoting sites for residential and commercial developments through the local plan process
- Preparing and coordinating planning applications, including drafting supporting statements
- Managing project budgets and preparing fee proposals
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and local planning authorities
- Assessing site potential for a range of developments, identifying opportunities and constraints
About the Team
You will be joining a small, collaborative, and friendly team that values flexibility, engagement, and a positive working environment that supports a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements
- RTPI Accredited Degree
- MRTPI Qualified
- Town Planning private sector experience
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Full driving license and use of own vehicle
Desirable Skills
- Experience in the Environmental/renewable energy sector
- Experience across both public and private sectors
- Project management experience
