Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor

We are seeking dedicated and passionate tutors to work with local authorities and virtual schools, providing essential support to students in Functional Skills Maths and English. Our priority is to equip students with the skills they need to succeed in life.

The role involves delivering 1:1 tuition, which may be in a school, local venue, or the student's home, and is highly flexible. Tutors are expected to create and deliver engaging sessions that cater to the individual needs of their students, ensuring they receive both functional skills and emotional support.

We are looking for candidates with experience working with students who require emotional support, and who are confident communicating with local authorities and care home staff. The ideal candidate should possess excellent planning and delivery skills, as well as expertise in Functional Skills English and Maths.

Requirements include a teaching qualification (QTS) or relevant tutoring experience, experience working with students with SEMH needs, and a valid DBS check on the update service.

We offer competitive rates of £20 - £25 per hour, exclusive access to our CPD academy, a team of consultants to support you in your job search and provide ongoing assistance, and flexibility in working conditions.
