Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Development Manager to oversee the comprehensive development process of hot and cold beverage products for our vending machines, including teas, coffees, chocolates, soups, and specialty brews.
With extensive knowledge of technical ingredients, you will lead cross-functional teams to navigate product changes and launches effectively.
A strong customer focus is essential; you will utilize consumer insights to curate an optimal beverage portfolio for our European clientele, taking a holistic approach to evaluate the implications and opportunities presented by new ingredients.
As an established professional, you will mentor the ingredients team, promoting best practices in product development and innovation.
Ensuring product performance and quality is crucial, as you will consider not only the formulation and flavor but also the behavior of ingredients during service and delivery to the consumer.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a portfolio of intricate new product development and innovation initiatives.
- Translating customer and consumer insights into compliant, safe, and repeatable product specifications.
- Delivering the R&D plan within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Building strong relationships with a network of technical and non-technical stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in food sciences or food technology.
- Robust knowledge of food product development, NPD processes, manufacturing, and quality assurance principles.
- Experience in leading and executing large-scale technical projects with cross-functional teams.
- Proven relationship management skills with strong supplier engagement experience.
- Technical understanding of powder manufacturing processes.
Willingness to travel within the UK and across Europe is required.
