CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Field Plumbing Technician to join a prominent facilities management provider. This role involves executing all plumbing maintenance and repair tasks within a commercial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and rectifying plumbing issues.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on plumbing systems.
  • Generating lifecycle and defect reports related to mechanical components.
  • Providing consistent updates to the helpdesk regarding the status of work orders.
  • Collaborating with other engineering teams.
  • Maintaining proactive communication with site personnel to secure access permits and progress updates.
  • Overseeing the daily management of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks.
  • Ensuring the organization of work aligns with contractual obligations.
  • Keeping accurate records of PPM schedules, including maintenance reports and site logbooks.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients through effective communication.

Person Specification:

  • Recognized plumbing qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ).
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship in plumbing or a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Understanding of risk assessment and safe equipment handling.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a track record of high-quality service delivery.
  • Previous experience in facilities management within a PFI context is advantageous.
  • IPAF (MEWP) certification is desirable but not mandatory.
  • A valid driving license is required.
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call/emergency call-out rota.
  • An enhanced DBS check is mandatory.
