About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to lead our Children's Social Care Service to become Outstanding. As Director of Children's Social Care, you will be responsible for leading the operational and strategic delivery of our Children's Social Care functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the way in raising standards across the service and driving further ambition.
  • Provide clear, expert, and reasoned advice on safeguarding and corporate parenting within the Council and with partners.
  • Oversee teams across Children's Services Integration, Corporate Parenting, Safeguarding, Social Work Services, and Early Help.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to shape and understand future priorities and plans.
