Building Safety Manager

As a Building Safety Manager at PA Housing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents in high-risk buildings. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a strong understanding of building safety regulations and a passion for resident engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Building Safety Coordination: Manage buildings within our high-risk portfolio to ensure a coordinated approach to building safety, ensuring the safety of residents, staff, and other building users.
- Resident Engagement: Lead on resident engagement at our high-risk buildings, ensuring that safety concerns are recorded, monitored, and dealt with appropriately.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinate, implement, and manage all matters relating to building safety, maintenance, and repairs, as prescribed in the relevant building safety case and associated building safety action plan.
- Safe System of Work: Implement a safe system of work to ensure that responsive repairs and planned preventive maintenance work are well managed and recorded at our high-risk buildings.
- Regulatory Compliance: Good knowledge of ACOPs / regulatory compliance covering M&E building services and fire detection, fire risk assessments, and managing and supervising maintenance works.
- Experience: Experience in managing the big 6 in compliance for residential and high-rise buildings, implementing a resident engagement strategy, and communicating effectively with residents.
- Qualifications: A recognised fire safety, Health and Safety, and or construction qualification, such as NEBOSH, or a Fire Safety Management equivalent.
- Reporting: Experience in implementing a mandatory occurrence reporting system.
