Job Summary: A leading service provider is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on a large site in the Manchester area. The successful candidate will need good experience working in a building maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform Predictive and Reactive Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  2. Fault Finding and Rectification: Identify and rectify faults in mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  3. Fire Alarm Testing and Drills: Regularly test and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure they are in working order and update the fire alarm log book accordingly.
  4. Liaise with Management: Communicate with management regarding health and safety procedures, ongoing repairs, faults, maintenance, and building services.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum Qualification: C&G level/NVQ 2 in mechanical engineering or plumbing.
  2. Commercial Building Services Experience: Proven experience in commercial building services, including maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
  3. General Maintenance Experience: General maintenance experience, including fault finding and rectification.
  4. Apprenticeship Advantage: Time served in an apprenticeship is an advantage, demonstrating a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles.
