Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Woodworking Instructor to join our team at Reed - Further Education. As a Joinery Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching joinery courses with elements of plastering and decorating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging teaching materials and lesson plans.
  • Deliver high-quality sessions using various teaching methods.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards.
  • Build strong relationships with learners to support their progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, PGCE)
  • Level 3 qualification in Joinery
  • Experience in classroom-based teaching, preferably with 16-19-year-olds.
  • Ability to manage student behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
