About the Role

We are seeking an experienced People Manager to join our Head Office team at Gist Limited. As a key member of our People, Safety and Culture Team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical HR expertise to support the development and delivery of our People priorities and strategy across Head Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the tactical, transactional and strategic HR agenda across Head Office
  • Provide guidance, advice and coaching on all aspects of Company policy, best practice, employee relations and employment law to line managers across the end to end employee lifecycle
  • Explore ways to enhance the overall employee engagement, communication and employee relations proposition while overseeing the compliance of company employment policies and practices with relevant employment regulations
  • Own and drive recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement, wellbeing, training and organisation development initiatives based on the requirements of central functions via effective engagement and partnering with our Centres of Expertise
  • Build commitment for People strategies, identifying and working through specific functional concerns to lead and embed change where needed, aligned to our key priorities and company values
  • Support capability development, retention and succession across Head office functions, including the facilitation and key contribution to on site 'Performance & Talent People Panels'
  • Working alongside the Senior People Partner to assess future resource requirements to support business peaks, change programmes and transformation activities
  • Facilitate active succession and development planning for all central functions
Requirements
  • Experience of working with Trade Unions | business improvement consultation groups
  • Significant experience in a HR Manager/ People Partner role operating across the full generalist remit, ideally within a Head Office/ Corporate environment
  • Credibility and impact to act as a true business partner to Head Office Functional Managers and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Excellent leadership skills to bring others on the journey
  • Strong ability to develop HR strategies and deliver change including redundancy, TUPE and contractual variations
  • Experience of dealing with complex ER issues
  • Flexibility to travel when required
