Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Chemical Process Specialist to join our team at Gap Technical. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of chemical plant and equipment, following detailed process instructions, and completing process records.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain chemical plant and equipment to ensure efficient and safe production processes.
- Follow detailed process instructions and complete process records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Control and troubleshoot multiple production processes to minimize downtime and optimize output.
- Perform simple in-process analytical testing to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Participate in regular manual handling of chemicals and decontamination of equipment for statutory inspections.
- Undertake First Aid training and participate in the site Emergency Response team.
- Contribute to process and EHS improvements to enhance overall performance and safety.
Requirements
- NVQ2 or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Previous Loader/Operator experience preferably in a shift work environment.
- COMAH experience is advantageous.
- Basic numeracy and literacy are essential.
- Basic computer skills are advantageous.
- Counterbalance FLT licence is advantageous.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen & 7 wastes) is advantageous.
- Manufacturing background is preferred, but not essential.
