Production Assistant Nights

Hours of Work: Minimum 35 hours per week, 5 out of 7 nights including weekends
Location: Huncoat Industrial Estate, Accrington
Salary: Hourly rate dependent on experience plus nights and weekend premium
About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our confectionary team as a Confectionary Assistant Nights. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and packing a range of confectionary goods, working with a multi-skilled team to create fresh cream, deli, fancy, ambient cakes, tarts, and pastries.
Key Responsibilities- Production and packing of cakes, tarts, and confectionary
- Manufacture safe, quality food by following all relevant Health, Safety, Environment, and Food Safety standards and working practices
- General housekeeping and maintaining the cleanliness of the production areas
- Moving equipment such as trolleys and racks safely
- Adhering to site processes and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation to produce and deliver unbeatable quality products
- Completing of documents and records accurately
- Working in the Cold room of Production
- Positive and organized individual
- Experience of working within a similar role is desirable
- Level 2 in food safety and hygiene would be preferable, but training can be given
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiastic, committed, and self-motivated
- Positive outlook and enjoy working as part of a team, leading by example
- Good written and verbal skills with a good level of numeracy
- Ability to work in a safe manner and consider the safety of others
- Willing to work a flexible shift pattern including weekends and Bank Holidays
