Role Responsibilities

As the Fashion Editor, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of the fashion landscape, alongside your experience in feature writing and editing. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating daily content ideas centered on fashion retail news and contributing to the monthly print publication with diverse topics relevant to the industry.
  • Editing features for both print and digital platforms, ensuring they are aligned with the latest industry developments.
  • Gathering insights from industry leaders to enrich content.
  • Overseeing the fashion features section to ensure comprehensive coverage across various sectors.
  • Managing the production of all fashion-related content, including features, interviews, brand profiles, and trend analyses.
  • Directing and styling seasonal special editions and editorial photoshoots, including concept development, budgeting, and execution.
  • Coordinating catwalk coverage and trend analysis.
  • Implementing the strategy for seasonal trade show coverage.
  • Collaborating with the art and production teams to maintain high standards of content presentation, while innovating design and layout ideas for both print and digital formats.
  • Contributing to the weekly newsletter with timely updates on fashion retail news.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • NCTJ qualification or equivalent journalism training/experience.
  • Proven experience in managing editorial photoshoots from inception to completion.
  • Strong background in writing and editing long-form features, along with interviewing senior industry figures.
