About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Client Manager to join our team at Accountancy Expertise Ltd. As a Senior Client Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing expert accountancy services, and ensuring the smooth operation of our client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, providing expert accountancy services and ensuring timely completion of accounts and tax returns.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings, addressing queries, and chasing necessary documentation to ensure seamless client relationships.
  • Onboarding and Integration: Be involved in the onboarding process of new clients, integrating them into your portfolio and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Tax Advisory Services: Assess and advise clients on their tax position, optimizing and planning tax efficiency, and reviewing and advising on advisory-level matters, including cash flow, budgets, and pricing.
  • Bookkeeping and VAT Services: Complete, review, and prepare bookkeeping, VAT returns, and CIS where required, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • HMRC Liaison: Deal with HMRC queries and resolve issues as and when required, maintaining electronic filing of books and records.
  • Client Administration: Manage and maintain professional development and learning, carrying out relevant CPD required by your professional body, and attending network events when required.
  • Deadline Management: Ensure all deadlines are met with HMRC, SLA, and other relevant parties.
  • Year-End Client Meetings: Prepare and execute year-end client meetings, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Internal and External Training: Carry out client bookkeeping training and undertake any other ad-hoc duties to assist the business as and when required.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Client Manager with a good accounts background and a professional qualification such as AAT, ACCA, or ACA. A good working knowledge of Excel, QuickBooks, and Xero would be an advantage. You will ideally have at least 3 years' practice experience and a strong understanding of accountancy principles and practices.
