About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Directorates senior management team as an integrated functional business partnering role. As a senior and valued member of the departmental management team, you will be responsible for all financial matters relating to the partnered department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver month end reporting and commentaries, working closely with business stakeholders to ensure variances are understood and risks and opportunities are actioned.
- Provide commercial decision support, working hand in glove with the Director and senior management team to enable them to make informed decisions.
- Develop and maintain financial plans, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring alignment with the business objectives and providing insight into key performance indicators.
- Manage internal and external audit interactions, ensuring appropriate schedules are in place and controls are adhered to.
- Build relationships across the business and Group, earning trust and displaying the FGH values.
Requirements
- Good commercial understanding of business and retailing.
- Previous experience in a commercial or retail environment, with a strong sense of customer focus and objective challenge.
- Business partnering experience, with strong Excel and modelling skills, and the ability to understand key business cost drivers.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Financial qualification, such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, and maths and English grade C or above.
