Tax Manager Opportunity at Butler Rose

We are delighted to support our client, a prominent Hertfordshire-based firm of accountants, in their search for a suitably experienced Tax Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Tax Director to oversee a mixed client portfolio offering compliance, advisory, and tax planning services.
  • Review and prepare personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, OMBS, HNWIs, and trusts.
  • Prepare, review, and submit corporation tax returns and computations.
  • Advise individuals and companies on routine and ad-hoc tax matters.
  • Deal with HMRC enquiries into personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Assist on tax advisory projects for existing clients and prospects.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities within individual and corporate clients.
  • Support and review the work of more junior members of the tax team.
Requirements:
  • CTA qualification or late-stage studying with at least 3+ years' experience in a similar mixed personal and corporate tax role.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge, including CGT, IHT, and all business taxation aspects.
  • Ability to write letters explaining complicated planning issues and verbal communication skills.

This is an exciting new opportunity created as a direct result of strong growth in the firm's tax offering. The role will play a vital part in the continued expansion of the tax department.
