Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Roofing and Cladding Design Specialist to join our client's team. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D models of roofing systems, collaborating with engineers and architects to develop innovative design concepts, and generating technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop roofing systems, including components, structures, and materials, using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create innovative roofing concepts that meet client needs and project specifications.
- Generate accurate technical drawings and specifications to guide construction teams during project execution.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is realized throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in roofing design to bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Participate in client meetings and site visits to understand their vision and provide design insights and recommendations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in 3D design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work, ideally within the roofing or construction industry.
- Proficient in 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, 3ds Max) and rendering tools (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape).
- Solid understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction processes.
- Strong creative skills with an eye for detail, composition, and aesthetic quality.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
