Sheet Metal Worker

First Base is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sheet metal products using precision techniques and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate sheet metal products with precision, following technical drawings and processes.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines and hand tools to cut, bend, and straighten metal materials.
  • Shape sheet metal using anvils, blocks, or custom forms, ensuring accurate dimensions and smooth finishes.
  • Assist in training new or less experienced team members when required.
  • Adhere to all company health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
Skills and Expertise:
  • Proficient in using shrinkers, stretchers, straighteners, the English wheel, and rollers to shape parts.
  • Strong understanding of metal behavior during forming.
  • Experience working with titanium, steel, and aluminum.
  • Panel beater skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with first-off inspection procedures.
Knowledge and Compliance:
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
  • Ensure compliance with all company Quality and Health & Safety policies.
  • Uphold high standards and contribute to team success.
  • Willingness to take on additional duties and responsibilities as required.
