Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and enthusiastic Culinary Specialist to enhance our vibrant kitchen team within a specialized educational environment. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in food service operations, particularly in an academic setting. You will be instrumental in assisting the Chef Manager and ensuring the provision of exceptional meals for our students and staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals to the highest standards.
- Support the Chef Manager with menu development, ensuring meals are nutritious, balanced, and within budget.
- Stay informed about current culinary trends and integrate them into menu selections.
- Ensure all dishes comply with health and safety regulations, with a focus on allergen awareness and food safety.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the kitchen, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in an educational food service setting.
- Strong understanding of contemporary culinary trends.
- Passionate about gastronomy and dedicated to delivering outstanding service.
- Thorough knowledge of health & safety regulations.
- Allergen awareness and capability to accommodate specific dietary needs.
- Experience in managing budgets within a culinary context.
- Excellent team player with strong communication abilities.
