Job Description

Job Role: Combustion Engineer

Location: Gov Facility Services Ltd

Salary: £39,921.92

Contract: Full time/perm

We are seeking a dedicated Combustion Engineer to join our team at Gov Facility Services Ltd. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our gas-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on gas-based equipment and systems
  2. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations
  3. Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement energy-efficient solutions
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services
  5. Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders

Requirements:

  1. Two years experience working in a role as a heating engineer, a combustion engineer or equivalent
  2. Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  3. Familiarity with Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
  4. Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances would be beneficial
  5. Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  6. CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units
  7. COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units
  8. Good Health & Safety knowledge
  9. Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
