About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Play Scheme Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our play schemes, maintaining the high standards set by Wave Active.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the team to plan and deliver engaging activities for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to provide exceptional customer service.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as child development, safeguarding, and customer service.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
Person Specification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a strong focus on customer service and child safety.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices, with a commitment to delivering high-quality activities and experiences.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 Child Care/Play Work/Sport Coaching qualification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and a commitment to health and safety.
- Coaching qualification and experience in delivering activities to children.
