Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patient Transport Planner/Controller to join our busy 24/7 Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all patient transport journeys, ensuring they are delivered in a safe and efficient manner while managing in-house ambulance productivity and subcontractor performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate patient transport journeys to meet key performance targets.
- Ensure all patient journeys are planned to take into consideration service requirements and patient needs.
- Assign the correct resources to provide a safe patient transfer in and out of our Trust locations.
- Deal with day-to-day operational issues and ensure processes and policies are adhered to.
- Monitor and achieve targets, and ensure resources and standards are properly deployed to deliver agreed outputs.
- Work proactively to improve patient journey planning and allocation protocols.
