An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Chemical Research Placement Intern to join our team at Rawcliffe Bridge, East Yorkshire for a 12-month period. The selected candidate will engage in the research and development of global initiatives within our Sustainable Polymers Team. This role will encompass the creation of innovative, eco-friendly polymeric materials across various business sectors within Croda. There will be ample opportunities for decision-making within individual projects, and responsibilities will include hands-on laboratory work, problem-solving, organization, and report preparation. The project work undertaken during the placement will possess sufficient academic complexity to fulfill the requirements of a university industrial placement degree course. The successful candidate will benefit from regular career development and coaching sessions, networking opportunities, and skill enhancement.

Essentials:
- A Level in Chemistry and pursuing a degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Strong laboratory skills and effective communication abilities, both in writing and verbally
- Self-motivated with the capability to manage and organize your own workload
- Teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills are crucial for this role
- A passion for sustainability and green chemistry
Desirables:
- Knowledge or experience in polymer chemistry
- Awareness of SHE within a laboratory environment
