Job Title: Assisted Travel Check-In Agent

Location: Stansted Airport

Reporting to: Duty Manager

Shifts: 4 on 4 off, days and nights, 35 hours per week

Rate: £11.90 per hour

Job Overview

As an Assisted Travel Check-In Agent with ABM UK, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient check-in process for assisted passengers at Stansted Airport.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operate the check-in desk, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all passengers are booked into the ABM Airport Inform system.
  • Expedite a smooth transfer throughout the terminal, ensuring that passengers are greeted respectfully and that all necessary assistance is provided.
  • Identify potential SLA failures and highlight to the Duty Manager, ensuring that all passengers receive the highest level of service.
  • Complete incident/accident reports for any issues encountered, including near miss events.
  • Liaise with operations coordinators, airlines, and handling agents to ensure that assistance passengers are kept up to date during delays or disruptions.

Essential:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • A polite and professional approach
  • The ability to solve problems
  • The ability to deal tactfully with upset or angry passengers
  • IT skills

Essential Criteria for an Airside Pass:

  • Full 5 years history that accounts for all periods of employment, self-employment, unemployment, and education
  • Valid photographic proof of identity
  • Valid Visa/Proof of right to work for non-UK and out of EU nationals
  • Proof of National Insurance No.
  • Proof of identity and address
  • Acceptance of and willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Airside Security Clearance
