Job Overview:

The Simulator Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of flight simulation systems. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this position involves close collaboration with the Simulator Engineering Team to maintain the functionality of our training devices, thereby facilitating effective training for our flight and cabin crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and preventative checks on all simulator systems, including mechanical, electrical, visual display, and hydraulic components.
  • Execute testing and validation of system performance through automated testing procedures and assist in troubleshooting any identified issues.
  • Manage inventory control for spare parts and ensure all maintenance documentation adheres to company policies and regulatory standards.

Essential Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in a technical support capacity, preferably within the aviation sector.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving faults across both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient IT skills with a systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfort in working with sophisticated machinery.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, as regular interaction with crew members is required.

Work Schedule:

Following a comprehensive training period, the Simulator Maintenance Technician will be expected to adhere to a rotating shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off.
