Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the bar, club, or hospitality sector and will work closely with the Bar Manager to support the club's operations and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure seamless service.
- Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries during working hours, providing exceptional customer service.
- Address and record issues raised by members and guests for management review, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Assist in scheduling staff shifts, tracking time sheets, and managing holidays, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure staff are well-trained and knowledgeable about products and pricing, providing excellent customer experiences.
- Coordinate bar maintenance, including weekly cleaning of lines and organizing bar staffing, to maintain a clean and efficient environment.
- Reconcile daily till roll totals in collaboration with the Bar Manager, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Assist with stock deliveries, inventory checks, and storage management, maintaining a well-stocked bar.
Candidate Requirements:
- Flexibility to meet the varying demands of club activities and events, demonstrating adaptability and a positive attitude.
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional experiences.
- Experience in staff management and training, with a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in bar stock and cellar management, with a focus on maintaining high standards.
- Local residency is advantageous due to key holder responsibilities and occasional cover for staff holidays.
