The successful candidate will collaborate with the hospital's engineering staff, demonstrating strong technical skills and exceptional troubleshooting capabilities in a challenging yet fulfilling setting.
This role necessitates a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer who can operate safely while delivering a thorough and effective service, ensuring a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for all external service providers.
- Conduct maintenance and testing of plant equipment, ensuring adherence to current HTM guidelines and accurately documenting findings.
- Receive, assess, prioritize, and act on all maintenance requests from various departments, maintaining precise records of work performed.
- Provide in-house maintenance services on a daily basis.
- Oversee the maintenance and testing of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems.
- Adhere to Spire policies, Health & Safety regulations, and COSHH legislation.
- Participate in the emergency on-call service outside of regular hours.
- Perform any additional duties that align with the general nature and level of responsibility of the position.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Possession of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a combination of shifts from 08:00 to 16:00, including some evenings and weekends. On-call duty is required one week every four weeks.
