Job Title: Therapeutic Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a Therapeutic Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Anxiety, Depression, and high-functioning Autism.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and develop therapeutic relationships
  • Engage and support pupils' learning, promoting their inclusion and maximising their achievement
  • Understand therapy goals and aims, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve them

Requirements:
  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND needs is desirable but not essential
  • Able to de-escalate and support emotional regulation, with a valid DBS registered with the online update service
