We are partnering with a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Trainee Custodian on a 3-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

**Job Summary:**

To provide a mobile custodial and cleaning service for all communal areas within blocks of flats, including high-rise blocks and community living complexes in Cardiff. Additionally, to assist with the cleaning and clearance of hostels and other supported housing accommodation, including Voids HLS and other properties within the housing services stock.

This will involve reporting repairs, fly tipping, and antisocial behavior issues on a daily basis.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• To assist with the delivery of a high-quality mobile cleaning service and provide support to Voids HLS and hostels.
• To undertake all duties in line with service area and corporate policies and procedures.
• To ensure risk assessments are followed and tasks are carried out in accordance with the council's health and safety policy and relevant procedures.
• To report repairs and ensure that if asbestos has been disturbed, it is reported to the Community Action Supervisor promptly.
• To assist with the cleaning and clearance of properties and surrounding or communal areas, utilizing appropriate plant and equipment as necessary.
• To assist in maintaining routine documentation, including daily defect books, driver's daily return forms, and other transport documentation.

**Requirements:**

• Experience of using new technology.
