Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifting Equipment Technician to join our team at Speedy Hire. As a Depot-Based Lifting Engineer, you will be responsible for the testing, maintenance, and repair of our lifting hire equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test, maintain, and repair lifting hire equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify any potential issues or defects.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating and cleaning equipment, to prevent wear and tear.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and hydraulic issues with lifting equipment.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
  • Attend customer sites to undertake breakdowns and servicing for equipment on long-term customer contracts.

Requirements:

  • Driving license
  • Excellent knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to ensure high standards of health and safety in the workplace
  • Able to work on your own or in a team
  • A great work ethic
  • Able to think on your feet
  • Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver
