Role Overview:

If you have a passion for events and marketing, the Marketing Event Assistant position at 8Bits is an excellent opportunity for you. You will play a vital role in supporting the planning and execution of a variety of marketing events, from promotional initiatives to product unveilings. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring that events are efficiently organized, seamlessly executed, and meet their objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of marketing events, including product unveilings, trade exhibitions, promotional initiatives, and client gatherings.
  • Support the creation of event concepts, themes, and timelines in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Help manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and preparation of materials.
  • Assist in the development of event marketing collateral, such as invitations, flyers, and digital content.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all event needs are fulfilled.
  • Provide on-site assistance during events, including setup, registration, and attendee support.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in evaluating event performance, gathering feedback, and analyzing outcomes to assess success and identify improvement areas.
  • Maintain and organize event documentation, including contracts, invoices, and attendee lists.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels, including digital marketing and the company website.

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience in event planning or marketing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic design tools (e.g., Canva) is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for marketing and a genuine interest in the entertainment sector.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events.
  • A degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of event marketing and promotional strategies.
