About the Role

CBSbutler is seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our Mechanical Engineering Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing teams of mechanical design engineers and CAD draughters on key programmes of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage teams of mechanical design engineers and CAD draughters on key programmes of work
  • Work on highly complex safety systems and related supporting equipment within a highly regulated environment
  • Perform performance & structural calculations, produce 3D models, and support documentation as part of development and sustainment projects
  • Mentor and develop the skills of junior team members
Requirements
  • 2:1 or above in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Extensive experience in 3D CAD modelling, FEA, GD&T, and DFM
  • Ability to generate competent technical evaluations, design trade studies, and investigations
