Position Overview

As an M&A Associate within the UK team, you will participate in all phases of a merger and acquisition process, spanning various industries. You will gain significant exposure to numerous high-profile M&A deals occurring in the UK, working with one of the leading advisory firms in the sector.

Your role will be crucial in facilitating the execution of both public and private M&A transactions, collaborating with UK corporate clients, financial sponsors, and international clients with UK-based interests.

Working alongside seasoned professionals at a top-tier global investment bank, you will benefit from structured training, practical learning experiences, ongoing mentorship, and a wealth of development opportunities. You will cultivate essential skills in key investment banking areas and have the chance to evolve into a senior role capable of originating and executing transactions independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with J.P. Morgan's product and sector teams
  • Develop and utilize sophisticated financial models, conducting valuation and analytical assessments
  • Prepare presentation materials, including management presentations, Board documents, memorandums, and other materials for M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client discussions
  • Support transaction execution: assist with due diligence, document preparation, negotiations, and liaise with relevant parties at the client or other advisors (accounting, legal, etc.)
  • Stay informed on significant market trends and build knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics
  • Monitor shareholder activism in the UK and assist clients with their development strategies
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated substantial experience in Investment Banking
  • Exceptional financial analysis and modeling capabilities
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Exhibit a keen interest in and focus on transaction execution
  • Familiarity with UK Takeover Code transactions is advantageous
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of investment banking products
  • Experience in client engagement
  • Background in M&A transactions
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
