Wincanton is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Trainer to join our team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring all training standards are consistently met across various shifts. Your primary focus will be delivering comprehensive training programs encompassing MHE (Material Handling Equipment), SSOW (Safe Systems of Work), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and site inductions for new employees.

  • Delivering Training Excellence: You will design, implement, and deliver engaging training programs that adhere to the highest professional standards.
  • Assessing Progress & Adaptability: You will effectively test and document individual progress, tailoring your training techniques to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Maintaining Qualifications & Compliance: Staying current with industry best practices is essential. You will actively keep your training qualifications up-to-date and ensure all training documentation remains compliant.
    • Onboarding New Team Members: You will conduct thorough site inductions for new joiners, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of our warehouse environment and procedures.
    • Safety & Operational Expertise: You will deliver manual handling training and possess a strong understanding of Quality and Health & Safety Standards to create a secure and efficient workplace.

To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Trainer within a similar warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, enabling you to effectively convey information and engage trainees.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to plan, deliver, and track training programs efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A customer-focused approach, building rapport with trainees and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety Standards within the industry.
  • Valid MHE Licenses with at least two years of driving experience.
  • RTITB Instructor/Examiner License.
