About the Role

Fellows Auctioneers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Handbag Authenticator and Valuation Specialist to join our team in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for authenticating and valuing luxury handbags and accessories, providing exceptional customer service, and supervising and supporting our Handbag and Accessories Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Authentication and Valuation: Provide expert authentication and valuation for luxury handbags and accessories, both in person and online.
  • Customer Service: Assist potential buyers via telephone, email, and in-person, providing detailed condition reports and additional media as needed.
  • Team Management: Supervise and support the Handbag and Accessories Assistant, ensuring smooth departmental operations.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure the department complies with all legal requirements.
Requirements
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of designer brands and current market trends.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills, comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels.
  • Commercial Awareness: Keen awareness of the fashion industry and market trends.
