Job Description

Pertemps Cambridge is seeking a highly skilled Customs Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the Customs team and ensuring the smooth movement of orders across borders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Customs teams within the Control Tower, facilitating the movement of orders cross-border.
  • Lead the Customs team in managing Export & Import activity, query resolution, Proof of Exports, and tax queries.
  • Oversee the team managing document checking activity, vendor relationships, training, and bookings.
  • Accountable for Engagement, Employee development, and Succession planning across the Customs teams.
  • Responsible for the relationship with Planning, Hauliers, and Warehouse to manage cross-border movements and queries.
  • Responsible for broker management, engagement, and regular reviews of performance.
Requirements
  • Experience in Supply Chain division, ideally with a retail customer.
  • Experience in Customs Operations, ideally between UK and EU.
  • Customs and Planning Operations Experience.
  • Customer relationship management skills.
  • People Management experience.
  • International or European experience desirable.
