Job Title: Head of Finance

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Procurement, the Head of Finance will be responsible for leading the entire finance function at an exciting time for the organisation.

About the Role
  • Manage and lead a team of 9 across transaction management, financial accounting and control, business partnering and management accounting
  • Timely and accurate production of management accounts and other regular monthly reporting, ensuring a full financial understanding of performance and enabling informed decision-making
  • Management of the year-end process and production of statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Successful external audit of the financial statements, maintaining the organisation's reputation for financial integrity
  • Deputise for the Director of Finance and Procurement, supporting the delivery of key priorities as required
  • Effective budgeting and financial forecasting processes, ensuring the organisation's financial stability and growth
  • Management of the finance business partnering function across the organisation, providing strategic financial advice to budget holders and building strong relationships
  • Compliance with financial governance and financial risk management requirements, ensuring the organisation's financial well-being
  • Effective systems and structures for budgets and accounts, coordinating and integrating finance and other key information systems
  • Oversee Cash Flow forecasting and provide recommendations on treasury management to the Director of Finance and Procurement
About You
  • An experienced manager of a finance function, ensuring timely delivery of objectives and driving financial performance
  • Excellent people development and coaching skills, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Qualified accountant, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance
  • Business partnering mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and drive financial growth
  • Experience in the preparation of statutory financial statements, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Management of a range of stakeholders, including budget holders, finance teams, and external auditors
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance literate professionals
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £56,000 - £63,000, dependent on experience
  • A 6-month contract, with the opportunity to extend
  • Hybrid working, with 2 days a week in the office
